Longing for war? On the Eve of the First World War: Oldenburg 1913
The exhibition looks at Oldenburg in the year 1913, taking it as an example with which to examine the social, political and cultural circumstances in Germany in the year before the outbreak of World War One. The regional perspective shows a lively panorama of this period by providing a snapshot of the city of Oldenburg and its society.
The broad array of exhibits including iconic objects, film projections, historical photographs, contemporary art and audio stations brings the exhibition contents to the public in a way that allows them to experience its contents on different levels. The planning and implementation of the entire exhibition included the design of the catalogue and other printed materials as well as advertising activities in the exterior premises of Oldenburg City Museum.
